What are the user levels


There are 10 user levels on this system.  They are as follows:

    Zero		# Can't do anything but .help and .quit
    Suspect		# Default user level (can't do much damage or good)
    User		# Regular users, more commands, more potential for abuse
    Power User		# Regular user with access to more areas
    Visionaries		# More commands, more stuff
    Guru		# More still
    Junior Wizard	# Junior Chat.Police, see Wizard
    Wizard		# The Chat.Police, here to keep the board in order
    Necromancer		# The Senior Chat.Police
    Master		# The Chat Administrators, System up/down etc.

If you want to see what each level user can do, do a .view commands, this help
file lists each user level with their assorted commands.  So now you will know
what you are striving to achieve.

If you ever want to go up in rank... DON'T ASK I really don't mind promoting
people, and I do it quite freely from Suspect to User, but it gets kinda 
annoying when everybody is asking for this and that.  Sorry!

So and so is being rude to me, how do I fix that


ALWAYS, ask them to stop... if they persist, feel free to call a wiz to help
you out.  You can use the .pray option to send out a help request to all 
wizzes.  You also have the option of ignoring tells with the ".ignore t" 
command, or gaging them with the .gag command.  If they are being real abusive
I would prefer you ask a wiz to help, that way we can identify and remove the 
abusive users.


Are conversations recorded


No way... you conversation is your business.  Just please be kind to others
feelings.


Are private rooms really private


Yes.  Wizards can't just barge into a private room, they have to knock like 
anybody else.

Wizards can be invisible though, and if they are hanging out in the room you
suddenly lock up... well we can't catch everything.


Can other users see my site information on the .ustat command


Nope.  Only you and the Wizzes will know what site you are connecting from.


Can Wizards hear my .tells, and .remotes


No.


How do i know if there is an invisible wizard around


You can't tell anymore.  Its a security feature.  If you need something from
a wizard, type .pray and wait and see if somebody responds.

If you see a "disturbance in the air" that means an invisible wizard is 
floating either in or out of your room.


Is it a bad thing to ask for a promotion here?


Yes.  Now it is!


Can you see who sends a .suggestion


Yes.  Master level users receive the suggestions, and they can see who it comes
from.


How do i get to be a wizard


I am looking for people who spend a lot of their time on this board.  
Somebody who is helpful and courteous to others.

I am also looking for an appropriate number of wizards for the user load.  
So far the user load has been nil, so I really don't need many Wizards, but 
as you Wiz hopefuls convert your buddies to Zoners I expect I will need more.

As far as applying for Wizship, you really don't need to bother.  I am going
to chose the best of the available users.  So just be yourself, and if you're
Wizard stock I will know it!
